Frequently Asked Questions
What if I’m completely new to yoga / healing arts classes?
We are an anti-perfectionist space and all are welcome in our classes, regardless of your experience level. We’d love to support you as you begin your journey into yoga, breath work, sound healing and more. One of the best things about entering smaller-group classes in-person, in an intimate studio setting, is that your teacher/facilitators can take the time to get to know you. They will help you learn & grow into your practice.
TRULY NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Please tell us if you are new to yoga/healing arts, so our class facilitators offer options/tiers of engagement for you during class. If this is your first time doing this kind of thing, know that you are not alone.
Please inform your teachers / facilitators that you’re new to this when you arrive, and they’ll gladly help walk you through the basics and/or offer verbal assists throughout class (as well as some very gentle hands-on assists if you request/consented to this option) as needed.
There is only one way to start something new! Beginners are welcome!
What if I can’t afford your class prices?
We want everyone who feels called to our offerings to be able to come. If our pricing is a limiting factor preventing you from registering for classes or workshops, PLEASE reach out via our contact page. We will gladly work with you, no questions asked.
I (April, our founder/owner) spent years of my life not taking the classes I wanted to take because prices in yoga studios were not in my range. That is not something I want for anyone. This is why our studio offers scholarship rates for locals on a budget who could use a significant discount, as well as work-trade options to attend classes free. We’ll keep any discounts 100% confidential. It never hurts to ask, and we’d rather see you in class.
Please also check out our multi-class packages and membership options, as these significantly reduce the price per class. The reason we’ve priced our classes as we have is to support our teachers in an equitable way, while still being able to afford rental/maintenance/upkeep of our space. We are a smaller studio space and can only hold so many students at a time, which allows for more 1 on 1 time with teachers and a boutique yoga studio experience where you can truly expand your practice. We recognize the value and high level of offerings that our teachers and facilitators are bringing and want them to feel nourished. We are grateful to those who can afford to pay our rates and are willing to invest in the true value of healing arts in our community.
What if I have an injury or limited mobility?
We offer a range of classes, and not every option may be the right fit for all bodies at all times. We ask that you listen to your body and never try to push through pain or force movement that doesn’t feel beneficial. If you have an injury that prevents intense movement, or you have significantly limited mobility, we recommend our gentler/slower/lower impact classes rather than our faster-paced/cardio/workout classes. Restorative, yin, sound bath, meditation, and breath work are all great options for those who have limited mobility but still want to experience the benefits of mind-body-spirit connection. We’ll be adding additional gentle yoga classes and additional options in the near future (come Spring 2025). And when in doubt, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask us for recommendations.
